De Echo newspaper

From cover to spread every page tells a story and brings the article to life

Behind the design

This project was developed as part of a group assignment focused on editorial and newspaper design. The goal was to create a complete newspaper article that balances storytelling, readability, and visual appeal. Every design choice from the cover to the inner spreads was made to guide the reader and strengthen the narrative.

A key feature of this project is the infographic, which turns complex information into an engaging visual format. It is fully integrated into the article rather than standing alone, making the content easier to understand while keeping the design cohesive.

The layout emphasizes consistency and structure, using grids, typography, and image placement to create a natural flow across the pages. Collaboration was central to the process, allowing us to combine different design perspectives and produce a polished final result.

This case demonstrates that newspaper design is not just about aesthetics, it’s about storytelling, guiding the reader, and making information visually engaging.
